COMPUTER LAB AND LIBRARY

The Appino Library opened in 2008 with books donated by schools and individuals in the Philadelphia area. In 2009, thanks to generous donations made in honor of Jeffrey and Beth Berman, the library was stocked with African books and relocated to a more spacious room next to the computer lab. Children flock to the library to take advantage of the great materials now available to them.

Computers we sent in 2007 are used in the new computer lab and regular classes are being held for primary and junior high school classes. IN 2008 and 2009 JHS students had the opportunity to edit photos and videos during a one week workshops. Due to high electricity costs computers are only switched on when absolutely required. We hope that as the school becomes more financially sound we can make even better use of this equipment.

MANY THANKS to all those who helped through financial donations and donations of time, goods, and services! We are seeing growing excitement in the local community as these facilities are made available.
